April ‘08 meeting

By micheleberg | April 23, 2008

We met at the Genome Sequencing Center again this month. This seems to be working well, as we have ample space and a projector for presentations. This month’s presentation was given by Matt Follett, who gave us a test drive of Catalyst. He even wrote examples on the fly to answer some of our questions!

After the presentation, we adjourned to a bar called Royale. They have cider on tap and the sweet potato chips were awesome so I was happy, but according to Scott they don’t know how to make a decent caipirinha, though they swore they used cachaça.

Loads more geek-talk at the table for a couple hours, then we adjourned for the evening.

Muchos gracias to Matt for putting on the demo, even though I had to bail out a bit early.
